My uncle came to the U.S. from Poland in or about 1912. His where-about was unknown. My father lived in central N.Y. State, Konstanty Jakubowski.

My fathers name is Cazmir. He came to the USA in 1912.
But he came to Chicago.

That could have been my great-grandfather or my grandfather because my grandfather was born in Poland in 1912 which i think that same year they came to the U.S My grandfather was married to Mary Jakubowski..Casmir my grandfather passed away November 11th of 1999

My uncle came to the U.S in the early part of 1900 from Poland before my father. We never were able to find him. I have been doing family history and have hit a wall.

Hi have quite a few Jakubowskis in my family. Kontancya Jakubowska , born in Rokicie, parish of Ligowo Bydgoszcz, Poland about 1840 her father Jakob Jakubowski, Mother Elzvieta Malanowski. in 1865 Jakob is already dead. Konstancy married Walenty rostkowski who was born in Turza Wilcza, parish of Tluchowo, Bydgoszcz Poland. his parents were Thomasz Rostkowski and Judwiga Trzcinska. they lived at Kozirog Lesny. They had Emelia Roskowska in 1865, That is my Grandmother. She was born in Myslakowko. she grew up and married Marjon(Marian) Ruzanski had 3 children born in suminek, Poland and come to USA in about 1890. They lived in dillonvale, Ohio, Marian was a coal miner. That had 9 more children here. On the baptismal certificates I have a Ladislaus Jakubowski as a godfather in 1902 and Ignacy Jakubowski as a godfather in 1900 for a nother child.. I believe they are my granmothers relatives that came her also.These records came from ST. Adalberts Church in Dillonvaale, My grandparents lived also in Long Run and connorville, all coal mining towns. Hope some of this will help you.

Now Emelia, and Marion came with 3 children they had in Poland I believe in Suminek. to USA bout 1890. They lived in Ohio, He was a coal miner, my grandfather I mean. They had 9 more children in Ohio. on 2 of the baptismal records from St. ADalberts Church in Dillonvaale I have a Ladislaus Jakubowskiin 1902 and a Ignacy Jakubowski in 1900 both times they are the godfathers.I feel sure they are my grandmothers relations.Hope this may help

Stories of some of the men in that family working
in the coal mines in Penn. USA.

Much too hard to make a connection until I get more proof
of where my people came from.

my great-grandfather was Ignacy Jakubowski. He came to Ellis Island with his wife and 6 schildren in 1913. They sailed from Antwerp on the Lapland. He was 40 years old at the time. His wife Anna was 36. I would love to know more if this is your relative also.
