My father, Bernard (Barney) George Japs was a cousin
to Bernard (Barney) Wheaton Japs.
According to our records, Barney W. married Helen F.
Gilligan on Sept 25, 1905. Helen passed away on Aug. 12
1930 in Minn. Minn.
My cousin Clifford Japs did lots of research and made a
wonderful book for us. (Before that, my father and one of his
sisters put together lots of information.) We feel pretty
confident that this information is correct.

I noticed that you have an extensive amount of research on the Jabs family. I recently learned of a relationship between my family and the Jabs family.

Do you have any information on a Jabs male who married a sister of Herman Auchtung. Herman and his four sisters were born in Volhynia, Russia, (now Ukraine). Herman migrated to Wisconsin in 1923 and at least one of his sisters migrated to Leduc, Alberta, Canada.

My grandfather was a cousin to Emil Jabs who married Bertha ?.

I would love to know the name of Herman Auchtung's sister who married Emil's mother.
