looking for relatives of my father

My father was Thomas Kaden and I'm looking for other Kaden's that may have been related to him. He was born in Philadelphia, PA on November 5, 1927 but was sent to an orphanage as a child and unfortunately did not know much about his family history. I think my grandfather's name was Morris Kaden. I want to find out about the ethnic origin of the name Kaden as my father never knew. We are also the only Kaden's in the Philadelphia area that I know of. Any information would be great.

It may not be the only ethnic origin of the surname Kaden, but my mother was a Kaden, and she was originally from Tangermunde, Germany, of Prussian descent.

My father tells me the name originated in Germany.
He also believes that the spelling has NOT been
altered. He grandparents immigrated from there,
but I dont know which town. His father was Fred Kaden
from California. I know his grandfathers name but
cant recall it at this time. Hope this helps.

Linda, My father also came from a family of 10. We are also German. The names you listed dint look familiar, however, they may be related somewhere along the line. My Grand Father was 98 when he died in 1955. I think that his name was John but perhaps was Alfred.

My Grandfather John Bapist Kaden married Mary Catherine Bee. They lived in Colorado and at one point ran a boarding house in Nevadaville Colorado. They had 3 children. John went to California and stayed with is brother? Fred. He returnrd to Denver and worked for Daniels Fishers making drapes. He died in 1952. My father John Robert was born in 1912 in Denver. He had 2 sisters, Eileen and Catherine. I'm not sure where John B was born and where and when they were married

Well, Mary, it seems that we are related. My grandfather
Fred, was your grandfather's Brother. In fact I believe
I was named after a Catherine in your family.
Fred had 2 children, Roy Edgar and Bernice.
Roy resides in Ark. and Bernice is in Cal.
I will send your message to my father. He has
more information about John B. than I do.
my email address is if there
is anything more I can help you with.
