Barbara, I am looking for Laimonis Kalning, about age 69. He came over to USA in 1950 and was in N Dakota at a lUtheran Children's home, to be adopted. He was one of 5 children in a group that had a story done about them in the LUTHERAN MESSENGER. My husband was in the group, he was 4 yrs old at the time. Laimonis was 17.
I am trying to find out info for myhusband, who has terminal cancer.
Do you know anything about Laimonis Kalning? If so, please reply to KT71424@aol.com.
Thank you,

Will try to help you!
You are right, accoding to latvian grammar, I would say that the correct spelling of your family name is Kalnins (in latvian it should be Kalninš), however in church books it can be also spelled as Kalnin.
Good luck to you :)
