I am beginning to research my family and I know that my great-grandmother was Anna Kolarik. I believe that she lived in the MD/DC area for most of her life. I'm trying to find more about the family and I would also be interested to find out where the name originated. If anyone could help at all it would be greatly appreciated.

I read your message about your great-grandmother Anna Kolarik. I have not run into an Anna Kolarik that lived in that area but I can tell you that the Kolarik Name originated in Bohemia which was Czechoslovakia but it now in the Czech Republic.

Thanks so much for your help. I was told that I have Czechoslovakian ancestry, and I was wondering if that's where the name came from. Thank you for the clarification.
