There were two Moytoy's which has caused a lot of confusion The Moytoy you have is the son of Amatoya Moytoy and Quatsy of Tellico from the Wolf Clan. your Moytoy was also known as Moytoy pigeon of Tellico because that was where he was born. his Uncle "Old Hop" became chief at his death. Old Hop or Standing Turkey, also know as Fireking and Emperor of the Cherokees is my direct line.

I have a wonderful reference regarding the descendants of Amatoya Moytoy. Ramond Hicks' book "Cherokee Lineages" is available in total (over 3,000 pages) on Mr. Hicks web site:
http://www.familytreemaker.com/users/h/i/c/James-R-Hicks/
According to this book, in Descendants of Amatoya Moytoy, 3rd Generation, beginning on page 1322 Ah-Nee-Wa-Kee was the daughter of Moytoy and the granddaughter of Amatoya Moytoy.
11. AH-NEE-WA-KEE3 (MOYTOY2, AMATOYA1) (Source: C002.) was born Abt. 1726. She married (2) CORNELIUS DOUGHERTY (Source: C002.). He was born Abt. 1720, and died Abt. 1779 in Seneca Old Town on the Keowee.

More About AH-NEE-WA-KEE:
Blood: Full Blood Cherokee

More About CORNELIUS DOUGHERTY:
Blood: Non-Cherokee
Note: "Indian Countryman" of Hiawassee

Child of AH-NEE-WA-KEE is:
i. CAULUNNA4, b. Abt. 1742.

Children of AH-NEE-WA-KEE and CORNELIUS DOUGHERTY are:
30. ii. JENNIE4 DOUGHERTY, b. Abt. 1745; d. Aft. 1826.
31. iii. JAMES DOUGHERTY, SR, b. Abt. 1750; d. Aft. 1818.

Happy Holidays

Elizabeth McDANIEL. David ESSARY. Albert ESSARY.

To enable other researchers to assist you, it would be helpful if you could include some dates and locations for these folk.
