I don't know if it is the same one. Did Lars have
children before he died? Do you know the year he died also?

All our family are from Minnisota but my mom knew one Myhre went to South Dakota and
they lost touch. Another to Northern Montana and I am from the one in Southern Montana.

My grandfather was Lars Myhre, I am not sure when he died, so know it was before I was born in 1946. He lived in Cold Lake, Alberta, Canada. I do believe at one time he was in Minnesota. Yes he had 14 children, my father was one of the younger ones. He never talked too much about his father. Lars was married to Elise and I know they came to the States from Norway then came to Canada. Maybe we can find out something. Hope so!! Donna

I know my grandfather was in the US at one point in his life, he came to Canada in the early 1900's, I think. where he was in the US I really don't know, but he was in Dina Saskatchewan when my father was born in 1911 and my father was one of the younger of fourteen children. Now Dina is just north of Montana so maybe we are connecting. Keep in touch. my email is taitohead@hotmail.com

My family also came from Minnesota, and my great grandfather settled in Dakota Territory in the 1880's. (Sioux Falls, SD)His name was Anton Peter Nielson Myhre, which was spelled Myre while still in Denmark/Norway. There were cousins in Wyoming/Montana by the name of Oscar Myhre and Marvin Myhre. I can be contacted @ DMyhre943@aol.com if any of these matches your information. I have access to several photos.....

Classification: Query
Surnames: Myhre Sorendsdatter
I think you might be related to me...My line is Carl Martin Myhre b. 1835 Norway who m. Ovidia Jensine Sorensdatter b. 1840 Norway. Children: Soren, Arthur Ferdinand, Odin
They were first in the Elgin, Clay Co., MN then Baker, Fallon Co., MT. You will find extensive research on Ovidia following the Kapell Family Tree on WorldConnect. There is much written about these Myhre's on the Fallon Co. Website. I have had zero luck finding their route from Norway (except Ovidia).
