Looking for a link to my great grandfather, James Caleb Noell, born Sept. 5, 1831 in Lynchburg VA. Later moved to Missouri. He was an attorney who married Louisa Wiggington from Kentucky. She is likely his second wife. Children were Dora, William, Mary Louise, Alice, Edna, Estelle, Gladys, and Edgar Estes. Edgar is my grandfather. He was born in Perryville, MO., later moved to St. Louis.
Hoping someone knows more

I don't know much about my history at all,
but I am a Noell, Sherry, my father, Phillip
Arthur. His father, I can't remember his name
but he married my grandmother, Gladys Phillips
who divorced him in 1927. He was looking
for gold in Sacremento at the time. my grandfather
remarried to a Ruby, they both remained in Sacremento
until they died in the late 70s, early 80's. i will
try to dig up my grandfather's name, though it
won't be easy, my family is old and most all are
gone now.

Surnames: Noell, Estes,
Sorry, I did not get a notice that anyone had replied. If your great grandmother was Dora Noell then her father was James Caleb Noell. He apparently married twice and Dora is from his first marriage. I wish I knew who she was. Do you? My grandfather is his youngest son, Edgar Estes Noell whose mother was Louisa Noell. Of course to make this more difficult there are several Noells using the Estes as a middle name and there were two Louisa or Louise Noells. There are so many Noells in Bedford county VA I cannot find the right one who would be the father of James Caleb Noell. Can you add anything?
