Dear Ted Spear; I am interestered in the information that you have on Sitterley. My great grand mother was Clara May Sitterley (1883-1948) and her father was Louis or August Sitterley (1858-1923). Can you connect either of these people with Caroline Amanda Sitterley?

Dear Jim Limburg. All I know about Caroline Amanda Sitterley is that in the obituary of her granddaughter, Ruth (Thompson) Subbit, it mentioned she was servived by a cousin, Augustus Theodore Sitterley of Burnt Hills, NY. When I called his son Donald Sitterley. He told me his father had recently past away and he wasn't aware of any cousin named Ruth and he had never worked on a family tree. He did say his dad was A.T. Sitterley the third. And that they were all buried in Vale Cemetery in Schenectady , New York. The cemetery superintendent is Jack Sheffer, 907 State Street, Schenectady, NY 12307, (518) 346-0423. I was requested all of the Speir Cemetery records and I'm sure he would send you the Sitterley records if you wrote to him.
