I am trying to help a friend who is a 2nd great grandaughter of Isaac Swails of Juniato County, and at the same time show her how valuable the internet can be as a tool to reseach. Would you let me know what you know about this Isaac and any connecting family. It will make her day. She has very little. She does know that he was born abt 1790, but that is an estimated date. Any hints would be so gratefully accepted.

I am researching my niece and nephews family. Their fathers name was Andrew Alexander Swails, b.Sept. 12, 1958, to Willie J. Swails and Dorothy Swails. His mother passed away Dec. 25, 1999 and Andrew passed away April 26, 1999 of gunshot wounds. He has 2 sisters and 7 brothers all living near Riviera Beach Florida. If anyone has any information that would be helpful I would greatly appreciate it. I also ran across the name Stephen A. Swails while watching the documentary "Glory". I looked it up on the internet and found that this person served in the United States Colored Troops of the Civil War (1861-1865). I am wondering if my brother-in-laws family may somehow be related to this person.
