I have a great grandmother by the name of Edith Weisenborn, she lived in Bucklin, MO, and married Guy B. Snider, they had a son, my grandfather Jack M. Snider. They later moved to Chickasha, OK where they later divorced. I have no information on Edith but the name Conrad in your memo struck me as familiar, do you have any information on Conrad Weisenborn? Edith would have been born somewhere in the time frame of the 1880's. If you have any information I would appreciate it!

Thank you.

I confirmed that Edith's father's name was Conrad, I have her listed as Edith Ida Weisenborn, born to Conrad and Elizabeth Weisenborn. I also found out that after she divorced Guy B. Snider she married someone named Raymond Barry. I think she died in 1955, but I don't know for sure. She would have been in Bucklin, MO in 1907 because that is where and when my grandfather was born. Martain Minnett(Jack M.) Snider. Please let me know if we have the same Conrad.

Thank you in advance.

Beth (Snider) Hubbell

George Phillip Weisenborn was born 1802 in Germany, his wife's name I have listed as Corodora ?? born in 1806 also in Germany. They had seven children: Doratha Weisenborn born about 1827, Martin born 1830, Louisa C. born 1835, Mary born in 1840 believed to be in Germany also, and Conrad who would be my great, great grandfather on my dad's side as being born October 7, 1833 in Germany. I have his obituary here and it says that the family immigrated to the US in 1840 and Conrad was naturalized in PA. There were also two more sibilings to Conrad, Amelia born in 1842 and Sophia S. Weisenborn born in December of 1849 in Illinois. Conrad married Rebecca Altfather and had four sons and a daughter, George Phillip, 1860,In Il, Henry C, 1861, In IL, Theodore A., 1864, In IL, Otto, 1869 in MO, and Sophia born in 1878 in MO, He later married Elizabeth J. Hart, and had two daughters, Ida Sophia Weisenborn, born December 31, 1886, She went by Edith later in life and married my great grandfather, Guy B. Snider. Edith(Ida) had a sister named Elizabeth also. You mentioned an Elizabeth Lawson, she was married to John A. Snider who would be Guy B. Snider's mother. I am not sure if this is the same but it certainly all seems to fit! I am anxious to hear from you ! I will try to locate you another way as I am hoping we can compare notes.

since there is very little info on the Weisenborns, i have reason to believe that it is a small family. the info that you two have might be the only good chunk of data-i know that the people in my family who are directly related to the Weisenborns haven't been very good/interested in keeping any family records. i was wondering if there are any records of one of the female Weisenborns marrying a Joseph Conrad in the early 1900's. my grandmother, Lorene Emma Henrietta Conrad, is the daughter of Joseph Conrad and a ??? Weisenborn. Lorene was born around 1920 in the St. Louis (Missouri) area. any info you might have would be extremely appreciated and helpful! :)

I don't know for sure if this is the same George Weisenborn who married Anna but here's what I have.
My greatgrandfathers name was John H. Weisenborn, his fathers name was George.
My greatgreatgrandfather George Weisenborn was born Hesse-Darmstadt Germany in the 1835 and arrived in New York September 30,1856 on the ship Wursata with his wife Anna S. Weisenborn. Anna was born in 1844 also in Hesse-Darmstadt Germany.
