San Jacinto veteran information

I want to let you know that the Herzstein Library at the San Jacinto Museum of History has recently added a catalog record for each vertical file we keep for each veteran of the Battle of San Jacinto. To see if there is a file for someone you are interested in researching, check the catalog at http://www.sanjacinto-museum.org/Herzstein_Library/ and either browse the titles by last name, or search for the last name.

You can also see biographies of many of the veterans on our Web site at the same place, written by Louis W. Kemp in the 1930s and 40s.

Oh, goodie.I had already found out my great-great-great-grandfather Ozwin Wilcox was in the battle at San Jacinto. His name is found with the z and sometimes a s. The last name is found with one l and sometimes two. It was quite by accident as I was surfing the web for something else. What I have so far is outstanding, but I will check to see if there is anything new.
