26 March 1947, The mine exploded and 111 men were killed.
I know there is a web site, that lists those killed. I am interested in why it happened, what happened afterwards, and what was it like at the time. My father was George Panceroff and I was only about 5 weeks old. My mother was ill from my birth. She never would talk about it or my fatheer, so I didn't push. I want to get to know about the everyday living in Centralia at that time period, so I can know more of who my parents were.
