Finding a Pub Landlord

I am trying to trace "Mick" Crozier. He ran a pub in Dagenham in the 1950s. I am not sure his name is Mick, Mike, Michael, since he was Irish (hence could be a nickname). Can anyone give me advice as to how to begin my search?

Hi Claire

I just wondered if you've had any luck tracing 'Mick' Crozier ? I am also trying to trace a Mick or Michael Crozier who was probably Irish. Again I do not know if Mick was his given name or a nickname. The Mick I am searching for ran a pub in Dagenham in the 1970s. I think he would have been too young to be a publican in the 1950s but it may be a relative of his that you are searching for? Seems a bit of a coincidence!

Try http://pubshistory.com/LondonPubs/LondonPubIndex.shtml

There are pubs listed for Dagenham.Mostly the pubowners are only up to the 1930's but occasionally later ones are listed. You might want to contact the owner of the site called Kevin.
The best bet would be to look in directories around that time at the London Metropolitan Archives.
