I am trying to trace the family of Michael BULGER, a native of Ireland who came to America during the Revolution as a member of General DeKalb's staff, was in the battle of Camden, where DeKalb was killed and he himself left wounded on the field. Recovering, he married, and settled in Richland District where he reared a family. I believe one son of his was Pierce B. BULGER, who married Ann ADAMS; another son was John Roderick BULGER, first wife unknown, second wife was Elizabeth CLARK. Any info concerning confirmation of these two children and possibly other children would be appreciated. :)

Looking for information on great grandfather, Michael Bulger, married Sarah Keenan Doyle, 1878, in Williamsville, Logan County, IL. Was said to have been killed in 1896 in a war against Orangemen. Born in Ireland. I am not familiar with DeKalb revolution - would this have any bearing? Family went from Illinois to Stafford County, KS. He's elusive - can't fnd anything. HELP!

I am the G-Granddaughter of Mary Therese (Bulger) Kelly from the Allamakee County area of northeastern Iowa. she was born about 1860 and her mother was Mary Bulger. Mary was married to John Kelly. I have notes that Mary Therese Bulger had a brother, Ed, that died when he about 17 and a sister (Catherine) J.F. McGuire of Dubuque, IA.
