Adam Achziger came from Russia in 1902. The family settled in Weld County, Vrain township, Colorado. The 1920 Census record has the family name misspelled as Ocgier, ED 228, Sheet 1b, shown are Adam (father), Adam (son) and his wife Lizzie, daughter Clare and sons, Theodore, Rhine, Rubin, Adam Jr., and Clarence. The family name is correct in the 1930 census for St. Brain and shows daughter Ruth and son Samuel also.

Adam Achziger came to America with his father, John Adam, in 1903. (Actually they were both named John Adam) They came through immigrations at Ellis Island. They were actually from Kolb, Russia (Volga Germans) but it shows the port of their departure was Hamburg, Germany. The family settled in Weld County, Colorado but Adam's spouse, Elizabeth Schneider, came in at a port in Galveston and I have no info as to how they met. The 1930 Census is incorrect as they had no daughter Ruth. The children were Clara, Theodore. Rhein and Rueben (twins) one of which married our Aunt Agnes, Adam Jr. Clarence, Anne, Herman, Edith and Samuel. I remember you from Sebastapool. Ca long ago. Would like more info if you have it.
