on the Renwicks as ia have just started
the family tree any info would help
await your reply many thanks Anne
On my grandfathers marriage record it has his parents listed as William and Leah Renwick
When I looked on the 1881 Census it has other sibblings:
Ann, Phillis, John H., William, Christopher and Leah, also listed were granddaughters Sarah B.and Leah Crowe
Their was no Mary but one of the sibblings could have had a daughter Mary. The oldest daughter Ann was born in 1847.
I have just recently found all this info so I haven't much more to add yet.
Keep in touch and I will certainly keep watching for your Mary
Due to the time of the year now i will be going up to Berwick in the New Year and if i find out more on them i will inform you
Have you no knowledge of where in NORTHUMBERLAND your Renwick came from there
are Renwicks living in my home town of AMBLE
Northumberland i maybe able to help
once again thanks for your help and prompt
According to the 1881 Census my Renwicks came from Plenmeller, Northumberland ( near Haltwhistle )
The 1881 Census had another Renwick family in Alnwick, which originally I had thought this was my grandfathers family
until I received his marriage certificate listing his parents as William and Leah. The family from Canongate St, Alnwick only lists
the mother: Elizabeth, sons: William, Henry, Thomas, George, Richard, John and Robert. Your Mary may have come from this
family since it is not that far from Amble.

George Hart Renwick
Janet married Thomas Renton Dec 5 1811
James Renwick Sr. was the writing master at Corporation Academy established in 1797. He may have also been a minister. Baptisms occurred in Golden Square non-conformist Church, Northumberland.
Does anyone recognise any of these names? It is all I know of the Renwick branch.

I'm going to check into the information you posted with my father, James S. Renwick today. I have written several entries if you'd like to read them. My father was born in Ontario, Canada. We may be related but I'll find out sure today. His family were from Scotland as well so there may be a link here.
