Your message caught my eye for obvious reasons. We are researching my husband's family and we think they may be from NH. He is decended from a Samuel Wiley born about 1800 and his father we think was Stephen Wiley Sr. All I know so far is that they wound up in Texas and LA in the early 1800's.
We think they may have been from Strafford County in NH. Maybe Dolly was a sister of Stephen or one of his brothers. Not much help but maybe we will connect the dots somehow.

we might have some dots...
benjamin heath was born in Barrington, Stafford,
NH, abt 1752. he and dolly married there. she
was born in conway, NH abt 1766, died in 1850 in
conway, NH. However, their children were born in
Rumford, Maine and Barrington, NH. does this help?

Not really. What we'd need to know is the name of her father and siblings. I know that's probably what you're working on too. Good luck!

I just seen your old message. I am researching this line also. Have you had any luck finding Dorothy's parents?
Thank you,
Julie Heath

unfortunately, no. the best "lead" info (from k. penman) is that she was related to the willey family that perished in a flood in new hampshire. penman is also trying to track down some leads on benjamin's parents, but as of yet, unsuccessful.

sorry, this isn't much help...

I found a tin type photo of a Joseph Willey on Ebay. It is on page 27 of "vintage Mans hat". Other names on back. I hope this is a relative. Good luck..
