Horn's Creek Cemetery is in Edgefield Co. SC near Sweetwater community, outside of North Augusta. The church, about 10 years ago, was not in use and the cemetery was in bad shape. Who are you looking for as I have friends and family who live up there. I am in Fla. Maybe I can help you find whomever you are looking for. Linda

I live in Edgefield, SC, and know where the Horn's Creek Cemetery is but I am not aware of a website. I know that teenagers like to go out there at night because there are a lot of tales of the place being haunted.

I live in Edgefield and have photos of the church and cemetery. The tombstones are not legible in the photos, but the general conditon of the graves and the church is evident.

John,

You said you have photos of Horn's Creek. Do you by any chance know if there is a Roper Horn or Mary Emma Timmerman Horn there? I am trying to help their granddaughter (90) to find out about her family.
Do you happen to have relatives in Greenwood? A Willingham relative married a Culberton.
Thanks
Brenda

I don't know if anybody is interested in this anymore since it's been awhile, but I just stumbled across this post.

I have been there a few times and have plenty of pictures. A lot of the pictures that I have are of the church, but I do have some of the graves.

The first two sets are at night and the site is in pretty bad condition. The last set it seems like somebody came by and cleaned up the place. There were lots of wasps and bees nesting in the church and it looks like that was also taken care of.

If you are interested in going over there here is the google maps location of it.

also here are the links to my photos of the place.

Brenda, I am a Horne in Greenwood and I also know about Horn's Creek Cemetery as Horn's Creek was named for one of my ancestors. I would be willing to help in any way that I can. Your friend is the same age as my Dad and I am sure we can find someone here to help. send me more information at MHORNE@nctv.com
