FrontPage 2000 - Can I do it?

As a new webmistress, I am contemplating redesigning our DAR chapter site and moving it to Rootsweb (currently on geocities--not thrilled with page builder or pop-ups there). I have FrontPage 2000. Does Rootsweb support sites designed with FP 2000? What issues or limitations might I have if it is possible? I am pretty new at this.

Thanks for any insight!

As long as your using FTP and not fpse and as long as your not using any web bots (normal includes are ok they work with or without fpse - frontpage server extensions. Everything will be fine. Rootsweb has some substitutions or there are a third party scripts for forms etc. etc and othe scripts.

I have been using FrontPage, 98, 2000 and now 2003 to do webpages on Rootsweb.com for about 4 years. The Help board is very friendly and helpful if you run into a problem.

I used FrontPage 2000 (I still use MS Office 2000) back in 1999 when I first uploaded my webpage to Rootsweb's FreePages. The only thing it doesn't use is FP extensions, but you don't need them anyway unless you're using a database on your site. I switched to Macromedia (now Adobe) Dreamweaver because I found it easier to use and doesn't add garbage to your HTML pages like FP does.

This is my site at Rootsweb if interested. I am currently using free templates that you can probably use in FP. The link to the templates is at the bottom of my page.
