Surnames: Van Trady
I have a birth certificate from Marinette, county Marinette, Wisconsin for Salome Eudania Van Trady born 27 May 1914. Her father was Bernard Van Trady born Alsace Lorraine and her mother was Marie Montay from Rennis France. She had a brother named James Van Trady born 11 March 1905. Cannot find any information on this family in Wisconsin at all, why? Does anyone have or can find any information.

Do you know what happened to Salome, who she married?

Yes, I have a copy of her birth certificate. She married Robert Baumgartner in the 1940's, lived in Dunkirk, Chautauqua, NY and went by the name of Sally instead of Salome. They had 2 children. The daughter is the person that I am doing this research for. She would like to know more about her mother and the Van Trady family. Sally (Salome) died July 19, 1959 and is buried in Fredonia, Chautauqua, NY. Salome also had a brother James Van Trady born in 1905. Her birth certificate is from County of Marinette, City of Marinette, Wisconsin 27 May 1914. Her parents are Bernard Van Trady birthplace Alsace Lorraine and he was an Architect, her mother was Marie Montay, birthplace Rennis, France. The strange thing about this birth certificate is that on the bottom. Mrs. M.C. Korday, listed as Maternal Aunt duly sworn deposes and says that the birth of this child took place on 27 May 1914 and it was subscribed and sworn on 1 Nov, 1940 with a public notary signature. I cannot find anything on census to show where the Van Trady family lived in the US or even when they came over to the US. Do you have any other information. I would appreciate sharing anything with you. You can contact me by the same e-mail address: sdietz@roadrunner.com

I am not related, just trying to help.
I found a couple of things on James. I saw that this man was connected to a family tree on Ancestry, listed as James Van Trady, and his birthdate matches

JAMES TRADY was born 11 March 1905, got Social Security number 325-10-7076 (indicating Illinois,) and died January 1972.

Okay, here are some more hints. I figure maybe Sally's Mom got remarried, or for some other reason, she had a different last name in the census. I cannot find James in the census prior to 1940 either.
So, this is perhaps her husband Robert in 1940, notice he is listed as widowed with a son, Robert Jr.

This may be the son in 1930, living with a "Taddis" family

thanks for the help. It just seems strange that there is no record of the family living in Wisconsin in 1914 when she was born, or anywhere else in the US on the 1920 or 1930 census.
