Looking for old Obituary or Coroner's Report

My greatgrandfather, Ralph W. Engel, committed suicide in Milwaukee Sept.22, 1895. According to the death certificate, he was found at the Hotel Pfister. I am wondering where to look or who to contact to obtain a coroner's report or possibly a newspaper article about his death. His family lived in Athol Massachusetts and I was extremely surprised to find that he had died in Wisconsin.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.

The Milwaukee County Historical Society has Milwaukee County Coroner's records from 1873 to 1935. You can submit information online and for $10 they will research, copy, and mail the information.

If you want to wait a couple weeks, I should be able to run over there this Saturday and look through their index. If the name is in the index, I can fill out a request form and have the files available for me the next Saturday.

Coroner/inquest reports/scandals were routinely reported in 19th c. and early 20th c. newspapers.
