Surnames: FORD, HARWOOD
According to Bass, Hist. of Braintree, VT., your William FORD had a sister, Abigail who m. Aaron HARWOOD, son of Samuel and Lydia (Kinney) HARWOOD and had: 1) Abigail, 2) Aaron, 3) Samuel, 4) Benjamin, 5) William, 6) Philander. I haven't attempted to identify Abigail Ford's parents but Aaron Harwood was probably born at Sutton, MA (no birth records located yet for Aaron or any of his siblings) and he was probably b. abt 1780 which would suggest that Abigail Ford was a little young to have been a sister of William, Sr. The daughter, Abigail Harwood, is said to have married a Benjamin FORD (no relationship given) and I don't see him in the section on FORD.

Hi Kay,
Your note has several family clues that I'd like to pursue.
I'm looking for information on BENJAMIN VESEY who married EUNICE LAMB. They raised a family in Geauga County, Ohio but indications are they came from Mass to Vt. to Ohio. They both died in early 1800's so I assume they were born in Mass in the mid 1700's. Any clues.
I have a large file of data on the Hayden family from Braintree. I'd be happy to share this with you if you could give me more informatioin on Sarah's ancestry back a generation or two.
Hopefully we can help each other.
Jim

I don't have Amos Kinney m. Tryphena Chapman in my database, although I've done a lot of work on the Salem Kinne family. My Lydia Kinney seems to have come from Sutton MA to Braintree VT with husband and two brothers - Nathan & Thomas. None of the Kinneys you mention are known to me and they are not mentioned in Bass, Hist. of Braintree Vt.

The Amos Kinney I am researching his fathers name was Thomas Kinney. My Amos was b 10-6-1782 Andover, Essex County, Mass. He then moved to Vermont.

Hi! The lists of Kinney family members are ALL my very own. To find out more, e-mail me at bdl12650@hotmail.com

Try going to Ancestry.com's WC (Worldwide Connect) in order to search for a gencom file and use KINNEY as your surname and Amos as Given (also Tryphina as his SPOUSE, dont use Chapman because it might obstruct the Ancestry.com search routine).
