I am looking for the families of Esther Sharp, born about 1790 and Samuel Gould. They were living in Hannibal, Oswego County with 3 daughters under the age of 10 in 1820 census. They may have come from Cayuga County. Thanks

Sam Gould

Thanks for the info. My Samuel died ca. 1826. But that Sam in Cayuga County could be his father or other relation.

I wish I could help you with your Sharp's, but unfortunately I have had no luck in my Sharp research. I am still trying to find the parent's of my Narcissa Sharp who married Allen Lawrence Smith. I'll keep my eyes open for your Esther.

My g g g grandfather, George W. Sharp, I believe may have been born in Scipio Twp, Cayuga Co., NY. He married in Niles, Berrien Co., MI in Oct. 1850. Do you have any information about the Sharps from Cayuga Co., NY?

I have a hunch he may have been the son of William Sharp who is listed in the 1820, 1830, & 1840 Scipio Twp., Cayuga Co., NY censuses. In 1810 William Sharp is in Aurelius Twp. I believe that this William Sharp may have been the son of Andrew Sharp.

Some of the Sharp children from Scipio Twp. moved to Linn Co., IA about 1851.

Any leads would be appreciated. Thank you.
