I have a list of 700 villages in Norfolk and NONE of them come close to your spelling. We have a BROCKDISH but that is in Suffolk about 5 miles over the norfolk border, There are NO villages that end in ISH in Norfolk. Perhaps the border did include Brockdish years ago ? good luck

Hello

How old is he in the census? I have found Chelsea Pensioners' Service Records, 1760-1913 for a Walter Shanks born 1863 Norfolk, also a 1891 census which says born in Broaghdash, Norfolk and a transcription of the 1901 census which says born in 1866 in Brawlish, Norfolk - ?
