I tried to identify as many Blacks as I could in Butler Co. 1830-1880 and some in Lowndes Co. that seem to connect. Some identifications are my guesses and some are based on information from other BLACK researchers. If you can provide corrections or additions or information on any of them, please do! I need to research Monroe, Conecuh, Crenshaw, and Wilcox Co. BLACKs too.

I am a descendent of Jesse and Rebekah Butler slaves that migrated from South Carolina to Greenville and Loango Alabama. The couple had three children that I am aware of, Abby, Ellis and Charity Butler. Charity was my gggrandmother. Appreciate hearing from anyone out there that is familiar with this genealogy. Thank you
