Thanks for taking the time to look this up. I have seen the name TAFT before along with Lily/Lilly, maybe it was supposed to be Lizzie/Lizzy. I also had the name Beatrice Elizabeth TIFFEN. The only that match anything that I had was the name Williams. It seemed to connected with
CLAXTON-GIBBON .
I love to see how far back I can get, the best I ever did
was through my WRIGHT FAMILY, possibly the FREEMANs. They
brought to (don't laugh)WHITEBREAD, BACON & MAYO. As I went
back even more I found name KARR, which was the name of my
GERMAN family. They brought me back to 1100 SCOTLAND.
My KARRs (Change to CARR here in the states) were in
Swinegern, Baden_Wurttenburg in 1600. Years later, trying
to find a coat of arms or anything for them, I was shocked
to find that KARR/KERR/KEHR/CARR was originally from
Scotland.
Love all these little things we find on journeys.
(Oh, by the way, I have WRIGHTS back to about 1400, before
John of the Hatch, and his son "MIDDLE JOHN. They were from
ESSEX.
We also had HANDs before 1600 in KENT, the matron being
Alice GRANSDEN from Tonbridge, and her husband John Hand, somewhere in KENT also.
I'm also told we're from the HOUSE OF KAVANNAH, though I
have NO CLUE what that means.

AGAIN, THANKS FOR TAKING YOUR TIME. If you need any info
from the states, especially from the state of ILLINOIS, I'm
at your service. That way, when the ask "ARE YOU BEING
SERVED?" you can tell them YES. (Me and my youngest son
loved that show!)
Bless You.
