Looking for information on my late Grandfather by marriage.
I am trying to find his mother's name. He claimed he was half Greek, an Irene or Irini Matheopolis? I can't locate this name anywhere in Idaho.
His father was supposed to be Max B. Woodvine but I can't find a record of my Grandfather's birth, only an issuance of social security number.
Claimed he had siblings as well, can't located them either.

Any pointers would be so appreciated! Thank You!

I am trying to figure this out. If his father was Max WOODVINE (1910-1998), why would Irini/Irene have the surname MATHEOPOLIS? Do you have dates of birth or death for Irini? Or are you looking for Max WOODVINE's family?

I have a record of a Max B. Woodvine and an early marriage, but not to the woman my late grandfather spoke of. I cannot locate any children at this point searching Max B. Woodvine. Although they may be on a 1940 census which would not be released for several more years.
I have tried to locate information looking under the first name Irene or in Greek Eirini or Eirene and the maiden name.
I had hoped back tracking through his mother, if I could locate her, I could find a record of marriage and then maybe a record of children.
I had to back track through the mother at times when I researched my French relatives and then sometimes I found the children and or spouse.

Mostly I just want to know some solid information about my late grandfather, Robert P. Woodvine. He never gave much background information, except his fathers name and what he thought his mothers name was, where he was raised and that's about it.

If my posting sounding frustrated, I apologize, he had been a hard person to pin information down on.

I am Robert's widow. He was born (as you stated) Sept. 3, 1936, and according to what he has told me, he was born in SLC, Utah but raised in and around Menan(?), Idaho. There are several of his relatives in that town.

Among some of the names that he spoke of were his father Max, a cousin Reggie (Regenold?) Balif, and a few others that I cannot remember at this time.

His mother was Irene but on Robert's birth certificate the mother's last name is listed as Matheopul(?).
Robert had said that his mother's name had been shortened as her full last name was Matheopolus(?).

Just out of curiosity, would you be Susie? He always spoke of a Susie as being his grandaughter.

Sadly Robert passed away near Foresthill, Calif. in 2001.
