BONWICK - at Flin Flon

I am researching the BONWICK Family for a friend, and would like to hear from anyone with information on ALEXANDER BONWICK who was b. 1898 in England, and d. about Aug. 8, 1947 in Flin Flon, MB. His wife may have been Etta FORSYTHE. I found an online tree by a "Karen Nelson" and a "John Nelson" which mentions Alex but gives no further information about him. I contacted "Karen Nelson" and received no reply --- maybe an expired email address?? I would be grateful for any info someone could provide - obituary - cemetery - occupation - anything. Thank you.

Thank you SO MUCH, "pinestick". I didn't think I would hear from anyone else on this subject.
I really appreciate your search on my behalf, and I know that Alex's elderly niece will be interested to know what happened to him. Alex and his brothers were sent over here as little "Barnardo boys", after their father died in England - the town just took them from their mother.
So sad.
Thanks again for the information you have provided to me.

Thank you for your reply "s_cooper29". Alex also had another brother, Alfred, who remained in England and served with the British Army in WW1. Alfred had at least 3 children. His sister, who also remained in England, was Annie May, but I have no further information on her.

My father is nephew of Alex. John Bonwick.
My brother carries the same name. John visited Manitoba some time ago and investigated. I will ask him what he knows from speaking with Alex' family.

Thank you. I would be interested in knowing if "Henrietta Jane Forsythe" (also known as 'Etta' and 'Hettie') might be Alex' wife. She died in 1982 in Winnipeg. If she is, then I have been on the right track. All the little clues add up, however difficult is is to find them.
