I am looking for more info on this line of COLEs.

David L. COLE is my g.g.g-grandfather. He is a son of John COLE. He was born 16 May 1819 in TN, but raised in Indiana. He died 26 Oct 1903 in Indiana. He and wife Millie had 10 children, 8 surviving childhood.

David had 10/11 siblings. John was widowed with young children and he supposedly remarried an Indian girl (6 ft tall-the story goes) and she was David's mother.

Any info on this family?

Was the name of the woman that John Cole married Patience? My gggrandmother may have been Indain, and her husband was John Cole, my gggrandmothers name was Chlay Mezie Icadora Cole (Dora) I'm looking for Patience Elliot's family, if she was Indian as my grandmother told me than I can claim it.

Hi Barbara,
Sorry, I have just gotten a chance to check my emails. I have been out of town. I don't think your Joseph Cole is in my line. I will check my files and let you know definitely when I get home from work tonight.

Jennie,

Thanks for responding. I have also been out of town. I know how busy things can get
when you are working. Whatever you have an extra minute or two will be fine. Thanks again
for checking. I have no leads for the cole family. Only my grandmotherx3 is known for sure and
that was Sarah Cole married to James Riggle in Putnam County, Indiana.

Hi,

Sorry from what I know, Patience was not her name. I have heard Catherine. Strange name for an indian woman, unless John gave her the name. I wish I knew more and could help you. Keep in touch and I hope your research goes well

Hi,

Well I have about 4 or 5 Sarah COLEs. Unfortunately, none of them were married to a Riggle. I hope your research goes well. Keep in touch and if you find any unclaimed COLEs from Harrison Co, IN let me know.

Hi Pyllis,
My John died before 1851. I think Catherine's last name of record is Layman. Keep in touch and who knows maybe the lines cross somewhere...
