This query is a little off the beaten path of the usual query. I am doing family history research and I am seeking information on PERCY MOREMAN who pitched for a baseball team in ALPENA, MICHIGAN for a few years. He married in 1905 or 1906 and lived for awhile in Curran, Alcona Co, Michigan as he had children born there. He worked as a carpenter while in Michigan. He later moved back to Illinois and died there.
From the family I am told he was to play for the Chicago White Soxs when his father told him it was time to tend to the farm in Illinois, so back he went.
I would love to hear from anyone who has information on the team in ALPENA and MR. MOREMAN. Years about 1895 to 1910. Thanks

My father was raised by Vern Moreman, who I believe is Percy's son. I've heard this story about Percy. Vern was also a talented baseball player. I will pass this message on to my father.

Kind regards,
