Is it possible that Basil/Wasyl was born in this Ostrow, the one that is not far from Nastasow?

It would make sense seeing that the mother(Mary Lapczak) was from Nastasiv.. They also had 2 other children in Ukraine Mary and Micholai who were younger than Basil.

Birds of a feather fly together. Our ancestors married within same region, religion [few exceptions} but for sure common language to communicate in and common tradition to observe.

The church record you provided is in Latin and Roman alphabet and nicely handwritten. It sure would be much more difficult to decipher if the record was in Cyrillic.
I want to say those are the godparents names.
