I might be in the wrong county for this but here it goes. My gr-gr grandmother was Olive Chamberlain, her husband was Frances Guitard and he was from Point Green, NB. I am trying to locate Olive's parents. The only info I have is some birth records of Olive and Frances's children and a story from my uncle. He was born in and lived on the St. Onge farm, Maple Grove, Dalhousie, NB till here was five years old. He remembers a Charlie Chamberlain coming to visit and being a cousin. When they move to Windsor, ON they use to watch a program on the CBC called the Don Messer and the Islanders. Charlie used to perform on that show. If you know Olive parents or are related to this Charlie Chamberlain please let me know. There is myself and two other cousins trying to get the ball rolling on this side of our family tree.

I think we must somehow be connected..though I'm not sure how. My grandmother (Marion E. Noble) b.1905 in Bathurst. Her parents Angus Noble and Sarah Ellen Chamberlain...she was descendant of pioneering family in Bathurst district. Sarah was survived by 2 brothers Allister and Warren...and I believe one sister Isabelle, who married an Ashley Kavanagh in Ipswich, Mass.
I have also been told that Charlie Chamberlain was a cousin to my grandmother, and have copies of his obituaries. Let me know if we are connected!

The information that I typed is all I have so far. I have confirmed with a few family memebers that we were cousins with Charlie Chamberlain. So some how we are most likely connected. I located Olive's name though my gr-grandparents wedding certificate. I am going to keep looking if I get any more info I will let you know.

I would love to know the particulars on Charles Chamberlain's obituary.

Hi Kim,
I have just started trying to find info on the Noble line...luckily my grandfather (my grandmother passed away about 8 yrs ago) has a scrapbook with loads of obits, marriage notices, newpaper clippings, etc. Charlie Chamberlain died age 61 (so 1972?)..buried in a parish cemetary in Northern NB, mass at St John the Evangelist RC Church in Belledune. Wife's name Lydia. Before joining Don Messer, he worked as a lumberjack in the forestry camps. Article does not mention any other family. Maybe "talk" to you again.......Deb

ITS ME AGAIN AND NOW I KNOW THAT WE ARE RELATED AS MY GRANDMOTHERS NAME WAS PHILOMENE GUITAR. AGAIN IT IS ALL IN THE BOOK I GOT FROM MY MOTHER WHO PASSED AWAY. BY THE WAY WHO ARE YOUR PARENTS? AND WHERE ARE YOU FROM ? AND MY MOTHER USED TO TELL ME THAT WE WERE RELATED TO CHARLIE CHAMBERLAIN, NOT THAT DON MESSERS JUBILEE EVER APPEALED TO ME IN THE LEAST. IN ANY CASE ALL OF OUR GRANDFATHERS CHILDREN HAVE NOW PASSED AWAY WITH MY MOTHER MARIE LEAVING US TWO YEARS AGO. I HAVE A LIST OF ALL THE CHILDREN, JOHHNY, ALPHONSE, CELINA, ISADORE, SARAH, LIZZIE AND TH OTHERS AS WELL AS LITTLE KATLEEN WHO PASSED WAY AT THE AGE OF TWO YEARS. I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT THIS IS ACTUALLY HAPPENING BECAUSE I WONDERED FOR YEARS WHERE ALL MY MOTHERS RELATIVES WERE. WE MOVED FROM CAMPBELLTON, N.B. WHEN I WAS 4 YRS OLD. I'M FIFTY NOW. WE USED TO GO BACK AND VISIT SOME. P.S. THERE WERE MORE CHILDREN THAN THE ONES I MENTIONED SUCH AS EDDIE AND JIMMY. THEY ARE ALL GONE. SO I GUESS THERES JUST THE YOUNGER ONES LEFT. First you are not a nut case and yes we are definitely cousins and I knew Aunt Marie and even went to your house when I was little. My father and you are first cousins. I am Celina's granddaughter, Kim . I would love to share the info I have and you would not believe how far back I got a few lines now. I have also had contact with other distance cousins in N.B.

thanks for the response and hopefully we connect . What I have so far is that Philomene is the daughter of Olive Chamberlain & Francois Guitard

Olive's parents are Amable Chamberlain and Francoise Fournier.

Amable Chamberlain parents are Jean-Baptiste Chamberland said to be born on 27 Apr 1789 and Ursule Doucet.

So far I have one sibling for Olive and that is a brother, Marcel Chamberlain born about 1832
