Fred and Nora Servis were my grandparents. They worked at the lumberjack camp. I found this information fasinating and want to understand more. I can only imagine how hard of a life it must have been. Are these names familiar to you? How did you find the name of the logging camp? I have been searching everything I can think of and not found anything. Thank you.

Believe this camp would have been a Shephard camp which would have been brother of great grandmother. Related into these camps also.

Located in the northern part of Midland County where the Tobacco and Tittabawassee Rivers met, the area was settled around 1855 and during the lumbering boom was known as "CAMP SIXTEEN". Around 1869 when the settlement had it's first post office, they changed the name to Edenville.

Hello,

Would love to see a photo from that era! If it wouldn't be too much trouble, would you email me it? Even though my great grandparents most likely aren't in it, I would like to see how the people dressed and their expressions.

Thanks, Vickie
