There is an Arterburn family cemetery in Eastern Jefferson County, Kentucky - outside of Louisville. It has maybe 25 tombstones visible from the front. If anyone is interested, I could get a few names and dates and post them here.

I only remember my Mom and Dad (Nello R. Arterburn from Flippin', KY) talking about Willie McCue. There were lots of Arterburns in that area - my Dad had 13 brothers and sisters. If you are stilll interested in Willie McCue, I can ask my older brother what he remembers. Unfortunately, all the Arterburns, with the exception of one sister, are now deceased. My Dad's parents were Gus O. and Lura C. Arterburn. They are buried, along with lots of their children, in a cemetery in either Thompkinsville or Gamaliel, KY.

My g-g-g-g grandmother was Sarah Phobe Arterburn who married John A. (Jack) Adwell in Monroe CO., Ky, in 1840. Her Father was John Arterburn and Mother was Nancy. She was born in Tn. in 1818. Any help greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Katherine

I am from Glasgow, KY... currently living in Louisville.
My grandmother was an Arterburn... Capitola Arterburn Gardner.
She grew up in Park City and her father's name was John P. Arterburn.
There were several Arterburns in Park City... all are buried at the Evergreen Cemetery in Park City.
Don't know if this is any help... but it is in the same area.

Go to the entrance of the Oxmoor Mall at the intersection of Shelbyville Rd and Oxmmor Lane. Drive down Oxmoor Lane and turn right on to Bullitt Lane. Drive past Kohl's and pull in to the parking lot of the Oxmoor Place office building and go to the right corner farthest from the street. The Arterburn plots are behind a low stone fence.

Allison,
I am also originally from Glasgow. I have three John P. Arterburn's in my database. All three are descended from James Arterburn/Mary Elsea. Two of them have children listed--one does not. I do not have a Capitola Arterburn. Who were John's parents?
