Aloha to all of you who have been communicating w
with each other on this message board ( Jerry, Dennis, Harry, Sylvia and Jayme)
My original message appears to have been the first.
Since then I kind of forgot about the board but am always
excited to know that there are others search the Bohnet
family line. I too have some questions about
the spelling of "BOHNET". I suspect that all of you on the
board so far are descendents of a line that I
have no info on. My line goes back from Canada. You are welcome to visit
my web site at:

http://reference.byuh.edu/bohnet/

You can click on the Gerald Sydna Bohnet link to get to my
own personal family web page. They you can
browse the information I have. Feel free to
contact me anytime. There is so much out there and so
little on record.

Jerry, I saw you reply noted below: "I do have a John Jacob Bohnett that went by the name of Jacob, born Freudenstadt, Wurtemberg, Germany, in 1805. Came to US about 1860 and lived in Washtenaw County, Michigan."
I am related to a EVA MARIE BOHNET, b. 22 JUL 1813, d. 1889, from the Gruental, Freudenstadt, area of Wuerttembburg. She is my g3grand-mother. She was the daughter of MICHAEL BOHNET b.?, d.? She married first, a JOHANNES HORNBERGER who died 29 NOV 1837, second, yet another JOHANNES HORNBERGER 13 NOV 1838. The latter marriage produced a daughter CATHERINA (one of eight children) from whom I descend. The HORNBERGERS emigrated from Germany to Westmoreland Co., PA in 1832 and in 1837, moved to Dearborn Co., IN.
Do you have any information on this particular BOHNET?
Be very interested to hear from you.

Hello Harvey Bell Jr.

I just found your message. I found a Adam Bohnett marr. Eliz. Hornberger, 1806. They had 12 children in Germany. Some of them Hornberger's moved into the Ingham Co. area of Michigan. About 60 miles from Dearborn.

I have a John Jacob bohnet b. 1805, marr. Barbara Faust. They had 8 children. They oldest born in 1832. I have been looking for years to find the connection of John Jacob to one of the other Michigan Bohnet/t's family. So far no luck. But have tide two other Mich. Bohnet families together.

From all my research any family spelling of Bohnet/tt' are related. Would like to tie all the Bohnet's together. If their is anything I can do to help you let me know and any information that you have that you think will help me please send it the address below.

My family research has taken me to the Michael Bohnet family. He was married to a Katie Klein. They had a daughter Ida. Does any of this ring a bell to anyone? I would love to hear from you.
Thanks!
Debbie

I have a Catharina Klein married to a Michel Bohnet. They have at least two children, Catharina and Emma but no Ida in my records.

If you have any other questions about the Bohnet line please get in touch with me.

Sorry, I don't have a Michael marriage to a Klein. Any Michael is before 1900.

Here in the UK the only BOHNET's that we know of are decendants from my grandfather who came over to the UK in the early 1930's from Schwenningen a/N in the Black Forest.
Schwenningen is now called Villingen/Schwenningen.

It looks as if the family BOHNET has moved, in large numbers, to the US and Canada.

We have two sons one of which has, on the 11th 11.2004 provided us with with another BOHNET. Long may we reign!

Guten Tag Herr Bohnet - Danke.

That being the extent of my conversatinal Deutsch.

Thank you, I had her name, but not her date of birth. I have a small genealogy of the Bohnet/Caldenbach family. I can send you a file if you are interested. I would appreciate any information you have on the family.

She is my fourth great grandmother. How is she related to you? Eva (Bohnet) Hornberger died in Kankakee, IL 1889.

I found this information by having a woman in Salt Lake, Ut go through the LDS Microfilms.

My ancestors (mother's side)are from a small community; Freelandville, IN which was mainly settled by German immigrants in the 1850s. They came from many parts of Germany: Bavaria, Wesfalen/Prussia, Wuertemburg, Lippe. Namen: Kirchhoff, Mabes, Schroeder, Hornberger, Sander, Schmidt, Krause, Schwartz

I am currently living near Auburn, NY, we have a small horse boarding farm. My email: twy7152@hotmail.com

I would like to hear from you!
