The Three Rivers Historical Society, 414 N. Main Street, Hemingway, SC 29554, (843) 558-2355 has available a publication of “The House of Hughes and Dunahoe and Their Many Relatives,” which reflects the following info re your subject on page 298.

John Samuel Huggins 1810-1879
The Reverend John Samuel Huggins was born in Darlington District, State of South Carolina on the 30th of March 1810. He was married in the year 1829 to Miss Zilphia Hamm, a native of Darlington District, where she shared in the division of her father’s estate. Reverend Huggins departed this life on the 10th of April 1879, at the age of 69.
It then lists the 13 children born to the marriage. (The firstborn, George Samuel Briley Huggins, was my g-grandfather.)

In reading the bulletin board, I came across your message re John Samuel Huggins. Please help me find out if Charley Huggins was his son. I understand that George Huggins may have been a gguncle. Charlie or Charley would have been my great grandfather he married Maud Wallace ? as his second wife after the death of the first wife during childbirth of twins, mary and Martha, there was also a son from the first marriage named David. Charley and Maud had many children and resided in Lenoir Co., NC: Emmett Mack, Samuel, Paul, Stanley, Lula Kate, more daughters but their names escape my memory at this time.
Your help would be so appreciated.

The Rev. John Samuel HUGGINS' 7th child was a Charles Betts HUGGINS, born 7 Aug 1843 and died 1 Jan 1878, married first to Sarah Ann DAVIS and second to Catherine BOURNE. I do not believe this is the Charles you are seeking.

Upon seeing John Huggins decided to check this site. My ancestors are full of John Huggins so am trying to find more info on mine. I have a listing of those buried a Blcak Creek Cemetery, Ellabel, GA in whichthere is a Mack C. Huggins,1877-1954. Since my grandfather, Charles Huggins, and this Mack are the only Huggins there and I know that he is not my relative I wondered why he is buried there. Saw your notice and wondered if he could be yours.
