Hi,

I am looking for info and hopefully contact with some long lost cousins. I am in search of info on Peter Kaczorowski (b.1850) from Skempa (sp?) Poland? Married Katarzina Baliki around 1880 in Poland. Emmigrated in 1887 to America. Residence in Buffalo, NY.

Peter's children were Leon, John (Jan), Frank, Theodore (Teddy), Mary, Bronislaw, Stanley (Stanislaw), Cecille and Rose. All lived in Buffalo, some moved to Pittsburgh.

Any info and contact appreciated, happy to swap information.

I don't really know where Skempa is in Poland, but judging from Census data (Ger/Poland), it was in Western Poland. This could be Skepe?

I don't know if Peter had any siblings. I have NO other information, though I will be going back to my mother's home this Christmas and will hopefully turn up more infor from old documents.

Peter's son Stanley moved to Pittsburgh, PA where he married Harriet Malankiewicz around 1921. She was from Stzryzow in southeastern Poland (Galicia/Poland).

Kim, If you want information of Peter's children and their families, I can get this. Lets stay in touch.

Richard

It could be Skepa. Many of the town translations into English seem to add more letters because of the Polish pronunciation. I'm wondering if Skempa is near Lipno. Hmmmm. Yes, please do stay in touch.

Richard,
Looking at this 4 years later, our Kaczorowskis are from the same area of Poland.
All of my documentation mentions Lipno, Lipna, Plock, Plocka. Skępe is not far away!

AND...I forgot to mention the name of the town -- Brzezno. It looks like it is about 8-10 miles west.

Have you done a mapping of your Kaczorowski DNA?

Kim :)

I hope this link is still active. Peter Kaczorowski was my great grandfather. I believe I have a photo of him. He is buried in Buffalo near his son Theodore, my grandfather, and Henry, his son and my father. If you require more information, contact me at Paul@paulhenryfurniture.com

Hi Paul, Amazing to hear from you! I just happen to be in Poland at this very moment tracing family roots with my mother Ligia. She is your dad's cousin. Her father was "Teddy's" brother Stanley!

Yesterday we visited the catholic parish in Skepe, Poland. I think this may have been the town Peter hailed from. Was unable to see the church records, but will pay someone to check them for Marraige and baptismal info.

Do you know if Skepe (Skempe) in NW Poland was indeed his home town?

She says she visited Teddy and his family many times in Buffalo. She says he had four "very good looking" sons and one daughter, Virginia. Is she right? She is 89, but still very sharp.

She says if you ever come to Miami or Seattle she would love to meet you. So would I and my brothers and sister.

I would love to see any pictures you might want to share. I have a very nice photo of Teddy and Family, as well as other siblings Leo, Mae, Cecelia, John and Rose and Frank Hausner. I met uncle Frank and Aunt Rose and I have a family tree Rose made back in the early 80's.

You may contact me at ...

... anytime Paul. I look forward to our corresponding!
