Lee Anne: My great great grandparents were named William and Christian Sippel, and they came from Hessen. He was born 25 April 1818 and died 19 Sept 1894. She was born 23 May 1821 and died 19 Dec 1906. They are both buried at the St. Johns Lutheran Cemetary near Tinley Park, Illinois, and that is where I got the above dates. They had three children, but no Henry.
Tinley Park is in Bremen Township and in Cook County. The names and dates and places are close, but not close enough.
Did your relatives come from the Tinley Park area? I had checked all the census records and found a Henry but not married to your ancestor. There were Sippels in Orland Park, Illinois, which is nearby. Do you have anything else? Bob

My grandfather, Benjamen F. Sippel was married to Catherine Arnold. They resided in Orland Park where he held some kind of a recorder position. This was in the early 1900's. Eventually they moved to Blue Island where he and his two sons, Wesley and William opened a Texaco gas station at the corner of Desplaines and Western. They also had two daughters, Hazel and Lucille. I am the only remaining son of William. Wesley had a girl,Gail. Lucille had a girl , Beverly. My grandfather died in 48, my grandmother some years later. Both sons and daughters are deceased.
I married Ruth Levine from Roseland. We have a son Brent A. and a daughter Wendi. They have no children. We moved from Roseland Oct. 68 and since have resided in West Hills, California.
I would be interested if you know of any connection to my family.
