I was in St Peter, Sep 26, 2010. I found Captain Skaro's grave stone in Green Hill Cemetary. Captain Skaro was my grandmothers uncle (Marit Skaro Braaten) I live in Calgary, Alberta, my name is Bev Butler (Braaten). My father was Martin Braaten, son of Marit and Ole Braaten.

Hello Bev,
I just ran a Google search on Asgrim Skaro and ended up here. My grandfather Erik Skaro was Marit Skaro's brother. Several years ago we visited and photgraphed the Braaten gravestones at Vang, ND. I have a lot of information on Asgrim Skaro. I haven't worked with the Skaro family for a while so without looking I don't remember for sure, but I think Asgrim is my great-grand uncle. Email me if you would like. Betty Hocking

My name is Bev Butler (Braaten) of Calgary Alberta Canada. My Grandmother(Marit Skaro Braaten) was the niece of Asgrim , and lived with his family when she came over from Norway. She married Ole Braaten, had 10 children, my father Martin was the youngest and he died in 1970. I attended a wedding in 2010 in Minneapolis, and decided to try and find the cemetary Asgrim was buried in at St. Peter. I was successful and wished there was a way to communicate with living relatives. Hope to hear from you. Thanks Bev Butler bbutler@shaw.ca
