Siblings Nelson (12), Lou (10), Anna (7) Jones. Willing to correspond about this family. Their father Tipton Doc Jones died 11 NOV 1923 in Wirt, Carter Co, OK. Mother was Johnnie Pearl Cox b. 4 FEB 1897, TX, died 16 APR 1965, OK.

Does anyone know whether the orphanage records are still available ?

Older sibling James D. Jones was 16 in 1930 and was not in the orphanage. Apparently their mother extracted Anna and left the two older children in the orphanage. Nelson and Lou Nell were sprung by older brother James, who stormed in and removed them by force, threatening the orphanage staff.

My late mother-in-law was Lou Nell Jones.

Especially want to talk with descendants of her sibling Anna Mae Jones, who lost contact with her other three siblings.

My father entered the orphanage in 1932. The home was moved to eastern Okla in Talequah around 1941 and is still in existence. You might check with them to see if any old records are still available.
