Suggestions for finding recently lost family members

I am finding it difficult to locate some relatives that I know are still living. When phone numbers no longer work, and relatives are getting up in their years what do you do? My wifes grandmothers family was never very close, and I feel like I am going to step into some territory I shouldn't, but I am looking more for old pictures than why the family doesn't get along.

Any suggestions.

Someone may be able to help you locate your family members. You could try posting on the appropriate Lost Family & Friends board.

I didn't know there was one. That is a great idea. Thanks.

Hi,
I've had good luck narrowing down living people on the following free "white pages" websites ...

411.com
peoplesmart.com
peoplefinders.com

Once you narrow down the correct family, for a few dollars, there is: intellius.com

You also might want to check "deadfred.com" for photos people post that they've found at garage sales, etc...

Good luck!
