I'm searching for information on Addison Beck. I'm trying to find out how or if he's part of my line. Looking for any info you might have, if you know the name's of his parents that would be greatly appreciated.
I have all the info about him being a Deputy Marshall for Judge Parker, how he died, the names of wife and children, brothers name. Also I believe his parents were born in Va.
Thank you,
Judy Beck Jones

Listed on the Van Buren Press Index 1883 are the names Sarah Taylor and W H Taylor, items # 17 and 32. How would I go about getting a copy of the articles. Sarah Taylor and W H Taylor may be my maternal ggrandparents.

I just started researching the Taylor's in Crawford County. Sarah McIntyre (or McIntire, McEntire, McEntyre) Taylor married to John H. Taylor were my g-great grandparents. They came to Crawford County in the early 1870's from Illinois. The next time I am in Van Buren, I will look up the Press article on Sarah Taylor. If you think this is the same family you are looking for, please reply. I would be interested in sharing info on this family.

Elizabeth Mary Triplett who m Thomas Gilham.
Mary Gilham who m Rev. Isaac Burr
Pleasant Anna Burr who m. William P. Watson
Florance Watson who m John W. Strickling
Vera May Strickling who m. Harley E. Bowles
Robert Heston Bowles who m Nellie Tucker
(Myself)Randi Bowles who m Carl E. Meentzen

Abels other children were Samuel, Rebecca, Mycajah-Micagah,Rueben, Stephen, James and Joel many of whom moved to Bureau Co Illinois.

Regarding the 1883 Van Buren Press Index, Sarah Taylor, p.17. I looked that up and it is a short notice that Sarah Taylor was suing Robert Taylor. I looked in the court records at the Van Buren Court House, but it just states that the suit was dismissed. I could'nt find what the suit was for. Sarah Taylor was not related to W. H. Taylor or Robert Taylor as far as I can find through research. Sarah Taylor is my g.g. grandmother. I have much information on her family. Reply if you are interested.

Might be a little late, but Addison was the son of Larkin Beck and his wife Melinda Stark. Addison's brothers were my ggg grandfather Logan and Christopher.
