I am looking for info on my great great grandfather John Halcomb. He was born in 1894 in Scott Co. Va, and died in 1983 in I believe Letcher Co. Ky. His father was Monroe Halcomb 1865-1943 (I believe) and his Mother was Mary Jane Scott. 1871-1948. Im looking more for the Halcomb line but any info about the Scott family is appreciated as well.

I know you wrote this a while ago. I hope it reaches you. I too am looking for the Halcomb line from Kentucky and N. Carolina. My Halcomb is a Henry Halcomb married to Martha Medlin Gayhart in 1892 Floyd Co. Kentucky. He has another " H " name besides Henry and maybe it is Hnederson. Does he connect to your line?
