Susan,
David Grubb and a couple others are putting together a definitive genealogy/history of the Grubb family that emigrated to PA abt 1680. He's even gone to England to track down primary sources. His e-mail (last time I wrote him) is daveg@permainc.com. Also, check out some of his posts at Genforum.com.
Good luck... Meredee

No, Melanie, this isn't me. I don't have any brothers or uncles.

Looking for birth of William W. GRUBB approx 1840

My g-g-grandfather William W. GRUBB was born somewhere in Pennsylvania we think around 1840 or so. He enlisted in the Civil War Navy and served for three years, then he enlisted in the army as a substitute for a bounty. Have no idea where he was born, you said you have a lot of GRUBB info, have you a missing William W. Grubb? He moved to OHIO after the war and lived and died there. Any info would be appreciated. Contact me as jsdumond@columbus.rr.com. Thanks, Jeanne Dumond
