Franz & Mary Ostermann lived in Nassen Fussen, Krain in 1863. Mary's maiden name was Kovacic.

They had a daughter Marie, who was born 11/1/1863.

Do you know anything about Niemetz's in the Pittsburgh, PA area? I think they moved here from Germany around the turn of the century.

I never knew of any Nimietz family living in Pittsbirgh,Pa.. All of my family lived in Chicago,Il. C.N.

Thank you for the information about your family. My family actually spells their name Neimetz. When I look over old records, I find that it was spelled many different ways. I am wondering if the "Neimetz's, Niemetz's , Nimitz's , Nimietz's " came from the same part of the world. Do you have any clue?
