WilliamD. Griswold was my great grandfather, he married a Lockwood, Sarah as we knew her but may be a nickname, their daughter Florence Griswold married Charles Gauss who were my grandparents. Would like hearing from others who have Griswold in their line.

My grandmother is Louise Joris, maiden name Griswold. Her parents are Harold E Griswold and Nellie Davis. She has lived in NY pretty much all of her childhood. She married Jerry Joris. In which they moved back to NY. She continued to live in NY until just about two months ago. My mother moved my grandmother from NY to TX. Any help that anyone can give me for my grandmother to connect with family members would be very greatly appreciated.

Just saw your board message. I believe your grandmother may have come from my family line. My grandfather Theodore had a brother Harold who married a Nellie Davis. Harold passed in 1975 near Painted Post, NY, Nellie passed much earlier. My aunt Alice spoke of a cousin Louise, perhaps we are of your line? Harold's parents would have been William and Lillian Coles Griswold.
