Hello Caswell County Researchers!

Do any Poteat researchers have the birthdates of the children of Captain James POTEAT and first wife Isabella ROBERTS? The dates I have for Felix Lindsay, Johnny Miles, Sarah Elizabeth and Virginia are approximations. I have a date of 27 Feb 1845 for James Preston Poteat. How about any dates for Isabella? I'd enjoy hearing from other Poteat researchers.

Hi, I am vry new at this! I am a 40 year old African- American female. My father was Jamie Poteat born in Blanch N.C. in 1926. His father was Preston Poteat born around 1886 in Caswell Co. I don't know who my grandfather's parents were as this side of the family never knew much info. Preston married Willie Ann(Lea/Lee) Poteat and in addition to my father had several children(Roy , Jamie, Mattie Belle, Erma, Ulysses , Louis All deceased) Willie Ann's parents were Lewis/Louis Lea/Lee and Georgia Ann. Any info would be immensly appreciated. E-mail me at jojo0998@hotmail.com or at tjo39@yahoo.com

Hi. My great-grandmother is from Caswell County & her name is Elizabeth Hester. She was a full blood Native American, most likely belonging to the Choctaw Tribe. She married my great-grandfather Ben Poteat originally from Louisiana. I am researching any information I can collect about my roots.
