I was borne in Pytchley, Northamptonshire, England 1954. When i was at junior school, Pytchley, i took a look at the doomsday book from the church. I remember a listing for Garley back in the 1700's

Hoping you can help me. Im researching the Garley family too. I have a richard garley who is my great grandfather but i dont know where he was born. Ive seen in the 1901 Census that theres a richard aged 3 in Pytchley northampton. I dont suppose you are any relation????

Well, on talking with my father, who was born in Pytchley, Nothants in the 1920's, he tells me that there were no less than three Garley families in this very small village (approx 2,000) ! Quite a coincident ! With regards the name 'Richard Garley' there is no connection with our family - but wishing you good luck with your search. sorry I could not be of more help.
