My ggrandfather was Mirandus Fillmore Hearn b. 1855 in Al. not sure what co. then moved to Yazoo City Miss. mar. Mary Jane McCormick. They had 4 children. Gene, John (Johnny), Frank and Bessie my grandmother. Mary died ca. 1906 when my grandmother was 12 and Mirandus moved back to Al. this time to Jefferson Co. Al. Mirandus father was Elijah Gustavus Hearn b. 1809 in Ga. Do any of these sound familiar? The name Clark is in the family as first and second name of my Hearns. Linda

Hi Jan, I'm still pretty much in the same place I was. No one seems to be researching my Mirandus Hearn line. I still can't find anything on Mary McCormick his wife other than I believe she died around 1904 in Miss. I have talked to Judge Hearn in Ga. and he didn't have anything else either. I am waiting on 2 of my great uncles SS info. My grandmother Bessie Edith Hearn Reed had 3 brothers and one sister. Everyone ask how do I know this and seem suprised that I knew them. 2 died when I was in my early teens and one died when I was in my early thirties. Any way I rambling. I still don't have it all put together. You can reach me at linda.rutherford@worldnet.att.net.
